Pre-planning Consultation for New Primary School at Nine Acre,Westminster Drive, Wrexham:  The Community Council was informed on 20 July 2020 that  Wrexham County  Borough Council has re-recommenced the pre- planning application consultation in respect of the Nine Acre Field and Wrexham CBC is advertising the process through the normal channels.  All responses provided prior to the lockdown together with any further comments etc received by 16 August 2020 will be considered .  The Consultation documents and responses can be viewed at:  www.yourvoicewrexham.net

DEAN ROAD /HOLT ROAD PLAYING FIELD PLANNING PROPOSALS BY GLYNDWR UNIVERSITY: The Planning Committee of Wrexham County Borough Council met on Monday 1 July 2019 and refused this major development application (Planning Application Reference: P/2018/0673) A copy of the Planning Officer's report to the Committee can be read by clicking here.

An Appeal has been lodged by Glyndwr University against the refusal of Planning Permission for the Dean Road Playing Field (Application No P/2018/0673).  The Appeal is to be decided on the basis of a Hearing and determined by a Planning Inspector and not by the Welsh Ministers. 

Due to the pandemic lockdown restrictions the planning inspectorate did not hear this Appeal until 27 April 2021.  The outcome will be notified in due course .

The Community Council would like to thank everyone who has supported its objection to the Wrexham Glyndwr University plan to build seventy seven houses on the Greenfield site at Holt Road as part of its Campus 2025 Strategy.
