Dean Road/Holt Road Playing Field Planning Proposals by Glyndwr University

The Planning Committee of Wrexham County Borough Council met on Monday 1 July 2019 and refused this major development application (Planning Application Reference: P/2018/0673) You can click on the link to read the Planning Officer's report to the Committee.

An Appeal was successfully lodged by Glyndwr University against the refusal of Planning Permission for the Dean Road Playing Field (Application No P/2018/0673). The Appeal was decided on the basis of a Hearing and determined by a Planning Inspector and not by the Welsh Ministers.

Due to the pandemic lockdown restrictions the planning inspectorate did not hear this Appeal until 27 April 2021. The Community Council would like to thank everyone who supported its objection to the Wrexham Glyndwr University plan to build seventy seven houses on the Greenfield site at Holt Road as part of its Campus 2025 Strategy.
