Co-option of youngest Councillor

Acton Community Council at its meeting last week unanimously voted to co-opt Morgan Peters to become its youngest ever member representing residents in its Acton Central ward.

Morgan is currently a Member of the Welsh Youth Parliament and Senedd yr Ifanc in Wrexham and has attended several of the Council’s Youth Committee Meetings in this role and contributed to the discussions. He is a proactive youth and community advocate who has already contributed and supported Youth Cymru, Ethnic Minorities and Youth Support Team (EYST); Caia Park Partnership; Friends of Wrexham Cemetery and Refugees Kindness

Morgan is a fluent Welsh speaker and is passionate about ensuring the diverse voices of everyone, including those under-represented should be seen heard and valued and wishes to ensure that the Council’s work and action reflects the needs of all of those constituents and wants to make the area more inclusive, responsive and connected.
