Councillor Mrs Anne Evans

Acton Community Council is sad to announce the passing of its longest serving member, Councillor Mrs Anne Evans who was elected onto the Council in May 1995 and had represented both the Borras Park ward and latterly the Rhosnesni ward on the Community Council. She was a passionate advocate for Young People. She had also served as Chair of the Council on three occasions in 2005/06, 2008/09 and 2009/10.

She was an active member of the Youth Committee and had supported the setting up of the free access Youth Club for Acton Young People, she had also represented the Council as Governor at Rhosnesni High School and Borras Park CP School for a large number of years, and had been a Management Committee member of the Acton Community/ Resource Centre overseeing its development into a Resource Centre for all five Acton Community wards.

Her contributions have been greatly valued over the years and she will be sadly missed.
